The Independent Yoga Network (IYN) has generated a petition against National Occupational Standards along with a request that if you value the freedom and diversity of Yoga then please consider signing.

Friends of Yoga are registered school with IYN and understand that raising the quality of yoga teaching is important and as a training organisation it is something that is strived for with our teacher training courses.

Friends of Yoga have  been “invited” to sit on the steering committee for NOS and Aimee Newton in  capacity as Training and Standards Officer intends to attend.  The first meeting has been indicated to be on Monday 24 Oct.

Friends of Yoga are concerned on the way the invitation to participate was received, that Standards will be imposed and that currently there is very limited information available from SkillsActive in order to again an understanding on this initiative.
