TUTOR: KATHLEEN PEPPER, M.A. Dip. FRYOG
This new 6 month FRYOG short course will begin on Saturday, 30th January 2010 and is open to all FRYOG members and teachers. It meets once a month
until June. The venue is in Ealing, West London. There are 6 workshops followed by the assessment. The assessment consists of keeping a regular meditation
journal and a project and a practical assessment with a FRYOG external assessor.
For FRYOG teachers, the course provides professional development. The aim of the course is to provide yoga teachers and meditators the opportunity to
take their practice to a deeper level and develop confidence to teach it. It will give participants a thorough grounding in their own practice and provide
many useful skills for teaching meditation and the confidence to do so. Participants will have the opportunity to work with different practices. Some of
the latest research findings into the brain and of meditation and the nature of consciousness will be covered. Alongside a variety of meditation practices,
there are home study tasks to take participants deeper into their personal experience of meditation.
The course includes a course instruction manual. A
visiting tutor, Andrew Lyddon, author of ÒWorking With Singing Bowls,Ó will teach a module on nada yoga and give a demonstration of Himalayan bowls and
gongs. There will be a FRYOG certificate in the teaching of meditation to those who successfully complete the course.
