This workshop will explore the connection between the body and the mind and how yoga practice sharpens our understanding of this fascinating topic. This
is often referred to as the psycho-spiritual aspect of yoga practice. The Sanskrit names of yoga asanas are mantras that tell us their benefits. The workshop
will consider all aspects of yoga Ð asanas, pranayama, kriyas and mudras, as well as relaxation and meditation, to understand and explore what the body
tells you when symptoms are experienced.
This workshop will:
*demonstrate the connection between the body and the mind and the message
that symptoms teach
*help you to teach yoga processes that bring about an understanding of the relationship between the body and the mind
*explore the journey of self-healing
through yoga
Kathleen has been a tutor for FRYOG since 1979 and trained with Wilfred Clarke, the founder of FRYOG. She teaches practical approaches to yoga as well
as some of its more esoteric aspects.

YOGA AS A HEALING ART: TRAUMA WORKSHOP WITH GILLY GREENHILL
Saturday 21st April 2012, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
at Greyfriars Community Centre, Ringwood, Hants.
This workshop will focus on trauma and stress release, how to recognise the symptoms and how to start clearing frozen energy through body work and the
breath.
We will cover pranayama, mudras, postures, sound healing, relaxation & meditation.
We will re-visit techniques from the other workshops and learn new ones and in this way build up a repertoire of healing procedures to address the many
minor and major traumas and stresses we experience on our lifeÕs path.
This day is suitable for everyone interested in the Healing Arts.
